sudan is the moniker used by Pritpal Sudan - a 22-year old producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based out Bombay, India. Drawing inspiration from a diverse soundscape, sudan seamlessly blends his influences into a distinctive sonic tapestry, defying genre categorisation. Over the past two years, sudan has been instrumental in shaping the sonic identities of numerous artists, serving as both a producer and mixing/mastering engineer (find his work here). Driven by his obsession with the artistry and a desire to push the boundaries at all times, he is dedicated to leaving a significant mark on the music scene through collaborative efforts and solo endeavours. In addition to his studio work, sudan also serves as a bassist for acts like Anoushka Maskey, BENDI, LAVI, and Foenix. Having showcased a lot of his calibre with his former duo project Khoya Firdaus and his production work for various artists, Sudan is now poised to establish himself as a solo artist with his debut album, "sudan?". Scheduled for release in June 2024, the album showcases his versatility as an artist, with most songs written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by sudan himselfpromising to deliver his most intricate and personal work to date.
